The Rounding Club is extremely beneficial in incorporating new tools into my daily life.

I was thrilled to be able to add a round of light yoga poses and meditation into my daily workout routine.

It's far more fulfilling than a basic workout, as it allows me to stretch, mediate, and calm myself after working out.

The Rounding Club adds additional layers of mindful tools and Ayurvedic Coaching that are making a big difference improving my diet, my relationship to myself, and my overall health."

What is Vedic Meditation?

What is Vedic Meditation?
Other forms of meditation often require the practitioner to either concentrate, contemplate, or imagine. These activities excite as opposed to relax the mind. Vedic Meditation is effortless and doesn't require concentration. Our technique utilizes the natural tendency of the mind to become quiet and experience bliss. Research shows this approach is more effective than other forms of meditation at releasing stress and promoting well-being. Other techniques often take days or weeks to show results. The benefits of VM kick in the day you begin your course.

Where does this technique come from?
The Veda, the ancient knowledge base that brought us yoga, ayurveda and much of eastern philosophy. Vedic Meditation can be practiced by anyone, regardless of cultural or religious beliefs. All you need is a nervous system, and to be able to close your eyes for a few minutes.

So I don't have to join or worship a particular religion in order to meditate?
No. You don't have to wear robes, sit in weird positions, or eat tofu. Simply be yourself, practice the technique, and become happier and more insightful.

How do you practice the technique?
You sit comfortably with your eyes closed for about 20 minutes twice a day — once in the morning, once in the evening. Thinking the mantra — or special word you receive on your course — drops you into a cycle or resting deeply and releasing stress.

Have the benefits of Meditation been proven by science?
Yes. There are hundreds of published research studies that verify the benefits of meditation. Less anxiety, lower blood pressure, stable mood, curing insomnia, treatment of PTSD, are examples of proven benefits.

What if I have too many thoughts when I try to quiet my mind?
Then you’re perfect for this technique. We don't "try" to stop thinking. We put our nervous system in an automatic process of resting deeply and processing stress. Whether your mind is active or still, you still receive the benefit. This approach makes Vedic Meditation both easy to practice, and nearly impossible to screw up.

How much time will it take to learn?
Our course is run over 4 consecutive days, with each segment lasting 2 hours. By the end of the course, you will be self-sufficient as a mediator. However, a lifetime of group meditations and refresher courses are included with your course fee, to tap you into your community and support your practice.

How long will it take until I feel the benefits?
This technique is so easy and effective, the benefits kick in immediately. Many people are surprised by how fast they transcend thinking, how present they feel, and how well they sleep during our course. Increased energy, calm, and greater clarity often occur immediately, and make the 4 days of our course a rich experience. These benefits continue to bloom as you practice. Vedic Meditation provides both instant gratification and long-term benefit, which accounts for its worldwide popularity.

What kind of benefits will I get from meditating?
Meditation research shows measurable changes in our physiology: less stress, more energy, clearer thinking, better health, and improved relationships.

Other benefits include:

  • Improved memory, energy, creativity, intelligence

  • Relief from depression and anxiety

  • Relief from migraines, headaches and asthma

  • Relief from insomnia and other sleeping disorders

  • Faster reaction times

  • Reduced cholesterol

  • Relief from fatigue

  • Stronger immune system

  • Reduced risk of heart disease

  • Normalization of blood pressure

  • Improved sports performance

  • Reduction of biological aging

  • Reduced addictive behaviors

  • Normalization of weight

The meditation that I learned with Berrett is the most important skill that I have earned in the last year. I have been meditating for years, but having a busy, new idea generalist and a bit scattered brain, neither of the meditation gave me real peace of mind. I could sit for 20-30-40 minutes doing Mindfulness or Vipassana meditation, but my brain couldn’t rest from thoughts that needed supervision. Sometimes I finished even more stressed than I started.
I had heard about Trascendental Meditation, but I’ve never had the opportunity to learn. Last year I finally participated in Dating&Meditating and I also saw Berrett with one-on-one counseling. The counseling helped me to set my goals and step on my path immediately. So I knew this is the time to learn to meditate properly.
After the first few times: My whole days had been changed. My scattered-day dreaming is a lot more manageable and I wake up more easily. Every task and decision making became easier and productive. That means I can focus more at work I can do a lot more or even when I enjoy more the time with friends. It takes 20 minutes morning and night which I usually look forward too, because it is such a peaceful time of my day.
I couldn’t recommend more to learn this lifetime skill that will be always in your hands. Namaste! Let it be!

I had always thought of myself as being “bad” at meditating because it was so difficult for me to sit still for long periods of time, “clear my mind” and just be calm. This meditation course taught me that I actually don’t need to do any of those things in order to meditate. It’s the simplest, easiest and most transformative experience I’ve ever learned how to do! I just wish I had done it sooner. It has helped with so many aspects of my life: stress reduction, improving sleep, productivity, focus, motivation, awareness... I don’t know how I lived without it!

I can’t say enough good things about Barrett Mediation and Andrew as a teacher. I reached out to Andrew during an incredibly trying and stressful time in my life. I was at a crossroads professionally and my stress was starting to affect my health. After completing my training with Andrew, I began to get a grip on the challenges I was facing and with daily meditation, I could finally breathe again. Andrew’s approach and teaching method is so easy to digest. It’s practical, user friendly and for someone whose mind races a million miles per minute, even I was able to make this practice a part of my daily life. With a new way to battle my stress (before it even entered my system), I was able to think clearly again and make positive changes in my life that led to an amazing new chapter. All I can say is THANK YOU, Andrew. You are a gifted teacher and friend and I hope many more people get to study and practice with you!
